Kroes has made the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Seventeen, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, W, Avantgarde, Dazed & Confused and Numéro. She also appears regularly in the Victoria's Secret catalog and walked the runway of the company's fashion show in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Kroes' campaigns include Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, Hugo Boss, Guerlain, Botegga Venetta, De Beers, Escada, GAP, Gianfranco Ferre, and Neiman Marcus. Former Miss India and Miss World, Lara Dutta will also appear in a Bikini in the upcoming movie Blue. Lara won the annual Gladrags modelling competition in her native India, thus winning the right to be the first Indian representative at the 1997 Miss Intercontinental pageant, in which she took first place. Later, she was crowned Femina Miss India Universe and Miss Universe in 2000.

Blue is scheduled for release in 2009, starring Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan. It is an action film that is centered around an underwater treasure guarded by sharks.
